2006 Shiraz Cabernet

VITICULTURE
A variety of premium vineyard sites throughout South Eastern Australia were chosen for this wine. Fruit was selected for its color and flavor intensity.
VINIFICATION
Following harvesting, careful crushing, and pressing ensured limited skin contact to enhance character whilst retaining subtlety. Some portions of fruit were fermented with French and American oak to develop complexity.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
The 2006 Black Opal Shiraz Cabernet is a rich wine full of berry, pepper, and spice aromas with red with purple hues. Ripe berry flavors and hints of spice develop on the full-bodied yet elegant palate. This wine has soft tannins and a lingering refined finish.
